GlassesUSA Nightmare: $246 Lost, Stuck Order & Bot Replies! 😡


I'm sharing my terrible online shopping experience as a cautionary tale. My recent attempt to buy glasses has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I desperately hope others can avoid the same trap. I ordered prescription glasses from GlassesUSA back on February 24th, paying $246.00 of my hard-earned money. It's now April 1st, and not only have I never received my order, but GlassesUSA has still not sent my refund. The tracking number still shows it stuck in Atlanta, Georgia, and every attempt to get a real answer has been met with "it is in transit" from a BOT. I felt compelled to leave a review and engage with customer service because this level of incompetence and lack of accountability is simply unacceptable. I just want my money back!

Customer: Hi, I'm calling about order number 105081183. It was placed on February 24th, and I still haven't received my glasses or my refund. The tracking shows it's stuck in Atlanta. What is going on? CS Rep: I understand your frustration. I see your order here. It appears there was an issue with the shipment, and a refund was initiated on our end. Customer: A refund was initiated? I've been waiting since February 24th! I've been told by a bot that it's in transit, and now I still don't have my $246.00. This company is atrocious! What happened to customer service? CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for the significant delay and the inconvenience you've experienced. It's completely unacceptable. I'm verifying the refund status now; it typically takes 7-10 business days to reflect in your account once processed. Customer: This is ridiculous. I had to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Vermont Attorney General just to get you to even acknowledge a refund! Can you expedite this, or at least confirm the exact date it was truly processed on your end? CS Rep: I see the refund was approved on March 29th and submitted to our payment processor. While I can't directly expedite your bank's processing, I can escalate this internally to ensure there are no further delays on our side and send you a confirmation email of the refund initiation. Again, my deepest apologies for this experience.

The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
